Hey guys, we're selling these 366s but we want to let folks know they're often a little bit tweaky. If you've seen any of the YouTube videos on @Bulletproofsaws, you'll know that the 366 is also one of our favorite saws to run. So let me get right to the Tweeky issues.
Part of the issue that we're seeing is a carb related issue between sealing to the intake boot and the overall carb in general. I also strongly recommend everyone checks the flywheel nut. Make sure it's snug, tight. If you're not a person who understands how to wrench on this saw, and thinks they're going to get a picture perfect saw out of the box, this saw is not for you. If you're a fella who can do the work, figure out the little tweaky items, fix them. You're going to love it.
A final bit of information. We've seen the tweaky carb issue with both the the hlic carb as well as the no name. A walbro will go real far in fixing any carb issue on this saw. The walbro will not give the power that our modified carbs give but they run real smooth, and that's an easy out of the box bolt on fix. The next thing we strongly recommend are our modded 361 mufflers. They really wake up this saw.

***** Free-Flight/Pre-Flight*****
We have found that a visual inspection alone frequently misses critical problems. In 2023 we implemented the “Free-Flight” process whereas every machine purchased through our website is fueled, oiled, and test run prior to shipping. This addition has reduced our warranty rate to less than 1%, which is a win for us as a company, and you as a consumer.
***2025***
We highly recommend each machine undergo Pre-Flight service when purchased new. This service involves partial disassembly and proper reassembly, using proper torque specifications and thread-locker, greasing critical bearing components as well as “rough” tuning to start the break in process. This covers the majorly of suggested maintenance for the first season of use. Historically we have encouraged customers to complete this process on their own , however recent changes to import regulations and taxation structure have, at times, significantly slowed our ability to acquire replacement parts. We currently recommend selecting the Pre-Flight service at checkout which has us complete the service prior to shipment. Although we have a remarkably low warranty rate, our hope by implementing this change is to come as close to possible to eliminating warranty issues faced by our customers. If you have questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time.
